Would it be possible to enhance Wireshark to be able to read the Q.Sig trace
from an Aethra ISDN analyser that uses Aethra's PC_108XP expert software?
This expert software is not able to decode the Q.Sig supplementary services
contained within the ASN.1 encoding. The analyser's own file format is .aps, it
can do an "Export to Ethereal" (.cap), but I think this is only valid when
PC_108XP is used to analyse outputs from Aethra's own ADSL or Ethernet
analysers.
It does support outputting the basic summary window (see "PC_108XP.jpg"
contained within the attached zip file of traces) to .txt or .CSV this does not
include the decode window. You can also add columns in these files to include
the raw hex from layers 2 & 3. If there was a way to just input the L3 hex on a
packet by packet basis for Wireshark's q931 dissector to decode, that would be
a start.
