Fluke Networks has just introduced OptiView XG which produces 10Gbit captures
in Snoop format. The datalink field in the Snoop header has a value of 19 to
indicate 10Gbit link speed over Ethernet. I would very much like Wireshark to
be able to read these files. I have attached a file taken with the instrument.
My patch includes values for 40Gbit and 100Gbit to be forward looking. But if
you would prefer, those can be omitted. No standards body has claimed
authority over the values for the Snoop datalink value. I consider the
Wireshark source the authority here.
