To whom it may concern,
Regarding the description of the Time Stamp field in Radio Header I would like
to report that due to the description it should put a Time Stamp when the first
bit of MPDU arrived at the MAC which is not the case. In wireshark and more
specifically by using The AirPcap adapter this time stamp will be at the very
end of the MPDU.
I can upload the screen shots of a small test I ran which shows capturing a
normal ping packet with a "ping -s 500 B " RTT are exactly the same and that
can only happen if the MAC Timestamp is at the end of the MPDU.
Because of the specific architecture and design of the airpcap adapter I doubt
if anybody but the developers can change and fix this issue.
Also I appreciate if anyone has any idea how to fix it in Win or Linux, share
that with us.
Best Regards,
Amin Gholoobi
