--- Comment #1 from Bill Meier <wmeier@xxxxxxxxxxx> 2011-04-18 21:00:44 EDT ---
I normally keep several different versions of Wireshark installed on my Windows
7 32 bit system.
I've recently noticed that whenever I install a different additional separate
version of WS that the existing entry in 'Control Panel ! Programs and
Features' disappears and an entry for the version just installed appears.
This happens even though I answer no to the question about "Do you want to
uninstall the previous version ?"
In fact, the other version still exists (i.e., directories aren't deleted and
so on) so it wasn't "uninstalled".
I do WS installs in dirs as follows:
Program Files\Wireshark\1.2.16
Program Files\Wireshark\1.4.6
etc.
It seems to me that I used to be able to have multiple separate Wiresharks
installed such that there would be a separate entry for each Wireshark in
'Control Panel ! Programs and Features' (but I'm not absolutely sure).
