Ok thanks for the explanation.
I’m in the middle of extensive QoS testing in several networks with Cisco L3
Switches and there (I hope) the QoS mechanism uses the DSCP field of the IP
Header and not the DSCP field of the IP header in the IMCP Part. I find it
still a little strange that the display filter of Wireshark doesn’t use the
DSCP field of the IP Header and a different filter for the DSCP field of the IP
header in the IMCP Part. Now that I know I can exclude ICMP Packet from my
filter. Maybe its worth considering to implement a different filter for the
DSCP field of the IP header in the IMCP Part.
