I tested this against SVN35013 on a Windows XP SP3 (32-bit) platform, but did
not experience the startup delay for any of the tests I performed. I tried:
1) Running Wireshark, opening a file on a mapped network drive, closing
Wireshark, renaming the file, and reopening Wireshark.
2) Running Wireshark, opening a file on a mapped network drive, closing
Wireshark, disconnecting the mapped network drive, reopening Wireshark.
In both cases, there was no delay at startup. The file was listed under the
"Open Recent:" files, but grayed-out and marked as "[not found]".
So ... do you still experience this startup delay with the latest version of
Wireshark under the same conditions as described above? Or do you have a
different set of circumstances under which this problem occurs? If the latter,
please send the precise details of what you need to do to reproduce this
problem.
