TvbRange:uint64() is supposed to return an unsigned 64 bit integer, but it
returns userdata (I included a testcase and some random packets . Open the lua
console then load the capture file attachment).
Lua file walkthrough part 1:
* Creates a foo protocol
* Adds a ProtoField 'fooField' uint64
* In the dissector function:
- Creates a TvbRange length 8 bytes 'f'
- Prints the type of the return value of f:uint64
=> 'userdata' this should be an integer
part 2:
*Calls tostring(f:uint6())
=> An signed integer.. ?
Could you check the TvbRange's uint64 method and solve this or post the
appropriate way to use this function if I'm doing it wrong.
