With the 'new packet list' version of Wireshark:
Select a frame in the summary pane; It gets highlighted. Now click on something
in either the details or the hex panes. The selection highlighting in the
summary pane disappears.

This is a different behavior than with the 'current packet list' wherein the
selection in the summary pane remains highlighted when something in the details
or hex pane is clicked.

Is this by design ?

I like the old behavior because it is then easy to check what frame is selected
by just glancing the at the summary pane even though (for example) I'm clicking
through the details pane.
