I copied a filter from Wireshark - using Control-C, *NOT* Command-C, because
Wireshark is currently, for better or worse, an X11 application, not an Aqua
application, on OS X - and was able to paste it into an Aqua application
(Terminal) with Command-V
Similarly, I copied some text from Terminal with Command-C and was able to
paste the filter - with Control-V, not Command-V, for the same reason as noted
above.
Ultimately, we'd like to have Wireshark behave more like a native application,
for example by using the Aqua port of GTK+ (which, unfortunately, appears not
to have its main developer working on it any more); until then, you will have
to use Control-X, Control-C, and Control-V, rather than Command-X, Command-C,
and Command-V, for cut, copy, and paste within Wireshark (unless and until
Apple's X server translates Command-{X,C,V} to Control-{X,C,V}).
