Check the man page and http://www.wireshark.org for more information. -- 1st time reporting here, bear with me PLEASE add Win 7 to list of OS's, bug is currently listed as OS Other This bug may be similar to Bug 3546 OS is Win 7 Ultimate 64, 4 gig RAM, AMD Athlon64 X2 Dual Core Proccessor 6000+ Downloaded wireshark-win64-1.2.1 and attempted to install, indicated that I wanted WinPcap and NPF startup service. Install ran, got error that WinPcap 4.1 beta 5 is not supported. Wireshark program comes up and when I click on Interface List, following is in new window, between asterick's: ************************************************************** Unable to load WinPcap (wpcap.dll); Wireshark will not be able to capture packets. In order to capture packets, WinPcap must be installed; see http://www.winpcap.org/ or the mirror at http://www.mirrors.wiretapped.net/security/packet-capture/winpcap/ or the mirror at http://winpcap.cs.pu.edu.tw/ for a downloadable version of WinPcap and for instructions on how to install WinPcap. ***************************************************************** Downloaded WinPcap_4_0_2 and installed with same result. Installing both programs as Administrator gets the same result.
