The changes were made to the code that interfaces with the AIRPDCAP library. 
If you aren't using the library you shouldn't see a difference.  This library
seems to be what supports decryption of WPA and WPA2 as WEP appears to be the
only encryption supported before the library was added.  I hope this answers
your question.
