That menu is supposed to be "empty", in the sense that it has no items.
However, displaying anything for the context menu would be an error in that
case. I'm not seeing that on my system, but that might be a difference between
the versions of GTK+ with which your Wireshark was built and the one with which
my Wireshark was built.
#if 0-ing out the code for the hex dump pane context menu (so it's there as a
reference in case we ever *do* have a context menu for that pane) would
probably be the right fix.
