I can reproduce this behavior when using KDE and enabling "Use my KDE style in
GTK applications". But I also find the same problem with inactive entries in
menus and I get white text on yellow background in tooltips. When using a
built in color scheme (like "KDE 2") I get white text on gray background in the
menus. I don't think we do anything special with the colors used in menus or
tooltips.
I also get the same behavior in other gtk applications. Can this be a problem
with gtk-engines-qt? It seems like it doesn't set the foreground color
correct.
