Hi Mr Keuter,
Sorry, I think I was not so clear. I will try explain again. Please, take a
look in the picture (attachment).
Condition 1:
i) Snnifer is using port 3 of switch 1, for example;
ii) If I don't set a "capture filter" on the Wireshark, it captures packages
from both switch 1 and/or switch 2;
iii) If I set a "capture filter" on the Wireshark (example, port 5060), snnifer
captures packages only from switch 1, that is the same switch where is the
snnifer;
iv) If I set a "capture filter" on the Wireshark (example, port 5060), snnifer
doesn't capture any package from switch 2 (or switch 3);
Answering your last question: If I remove "capture filter" I see all packages
on the snnifer. In this case, after a capture I can use a "display filter" and
my SIP packages are there, all ok. The problem for me is because the amount of
data is too huge.
I have talked with 3-Com too. However, after several tests they requested me to
contact you, from Wireshark.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Wglastonio.
