Hi all,
I am using "dumpcap" runnig over Linux Mandriva 2007.1. And I am trying to
capture package from a stack of 3 switch 3-Com. If I make a mirroring from a
port of same switch from my snnifer, all packages are captured. But if I make a
mirroring from a port of a different switch from my snnifer, it capture no
packages.
For example, see attachment. My snnifer is on the switch 1. It is possible to
capture packages from the same switch, but it isn't capturing packages from
switch 2 or 3.
I made the same test using "wireshark" and "tshark" instead of "dumpcap" but
the result is the same.
Important: I made another test using "wireshark" running over Windows XP and it
works OK. "Wireshark" over windows captures packages from any switch (1, 2 or
3).
I will be glad if you could help me with this problem.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Wglastonio.
