--- Comment #11 from Christopher O'Brien <bigdweeb78@xxxxxxxxx> 2008-04-07 16:07:08 GMT ---
This is not just happening on Windows. I have Wireshark installed through
MacPorts on my MacBook Pro (intel core duo) and an old G4 PowerMac. I did 2
small captures in my mail environment. The first was run with the capture
filter "tcp port 389" and ended up being 28K and 205 packets long. As soon as
I open up the Expert Infos it crashed. I repeated the test with the capture
filter "not tcp port 389" and ended up with a 6309K file with 15055 packets. I
opened up the Expert Infos and it worked fine.
I get the following error when it crashes:
wireshark(19394) malloc: *** error for object 0xc18116d7: Non-aligned pointer
being freed
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
Segmentation fault
