I too would like the wrap feature turned back on. I just read through the
comments of bug 1752 and it seems that turning the word wrapping off did not
affect performance after all. Refer to Comment #3 of bug 1752:

Also, I have a capture file whereby not all data is displayed in the "Filter
TCP Stream" window, but once I applied the patch, the data correctly appeared,
so it seems that by not wrapping, it caused 2 problems while apparently not
really resolving the original bug - at least not completely. Anyway, I vote
for wrapping; otherwise I'll have to manually apply this patch each time I
create my custom installers.
