Hi Jaap:
Good news, bad news. The good news is that the crash doesn't seem to happen any
more. The bad news is that I cannot reproduce it :-)
In the time since I initially reported the problem, I have upgraded my
wireshark
to 0.99.7, built with the MacOS X Fink project (not the version from Andreas
Fink...)
The tests I ran are:
- Started Wireshark 0.99.7 on my MacBook at work. I was on an Ethernet
network,
using two monitors that were mirrored. The external monitor was at the
resolution 1280 x 1024, I believe. I did a capture and everything looked fine.
- I put the computer to sleep, and then disconnected from the external
monitor
and the network.
- I then woke the computer. The screen was at the MacBook's native
resolution
which I believe is 1440 x 900. No problem.
- I then reconnected the external monitor without sleeping; the MacBook
detected
it and went back to the right setting and everything was fine.
I've appended the version information from the About... page. Do you have any
further suggestions about tests I could perform?
Best regards,
