Well, I'm going to have to say that if you're using that version of glib, we
can't really help you. That't the first development release (beta quality at
best).

Why are you using stuff from finkconsulting.com? Are you using that by mistake
instead of http://www.finkproject.org ? I'd try using wireshark from fink
(project.org) or macports before getting it from some .com that is suspiciously
similarly-named to a reliable package management system for OS-X.

FWIW, wireshark seems to work fine here with no warnings. I compiled mine from
macports which used:

Version 0.99.7

...

Compiled with GTK+ 2.12.2, with GLib 2.14.4, with libpcap 0.9.8, with libz
1.2.3, without libpcre, without SMI, without ADNS, without Lua, with GnuTLS
2.0.0, with Gcrypt 1.2.4, with MIT Kerberos, without PortAudio, without
AirPcap.
NOTE: this build doesn't support the "matches" operator for Wireshark filter
syntax.
