It is designed to do it...
And changing the way it does it would defeat one of the design goals: to be
fast.

So, I'm closing the bug myself.

I'll append
 *
 *  Beware that the  ...32_array functions modify the key so the same key
cannot
 *  be reused in subsecuent calls unless reinitrialized.

in line 338 of emem.h to the comment about 32_array functions
