Yes, I am able to run windump with capturing the same interface (Linksys USB2.0
filter) that Wireshark crashes the XP machine when it receives a couple of
minutes worth of "ping" traffic.
windump -i \Device\NPF_{EB575870-8B96-496A-891b-DE1877B2A0F} -w "out" -s 0
with packets successfully captured and received has no problems.
I also ran windump -d and all looks well.
