Sorry to say, but this is *not* a display filter here! It should not be named
display filter - it uses it's syntax but works differently. If you apply a read
filter (also possible through command line), the incoming packets not matching
are *discarded* from reading, meaning their not kept in memory (e,g. also not
used for reassembling). A display filter will only *hide* packets from the list
- that's a huge difference!!!
In the documents this is called a "read filter" (I don't know who invented this
term), if you want to rename things here, the dialog should use this term
instead - to be consistent with command line and documentation.
Please be accurate here, this feature is confusing enough ...
