------- Comment #3 from jyoung@xxxxxxx 2006-10-25 04:16 GMT -------
I initially replicated Keith's problem and reported same on wireshark-dev.
http://wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev/200610/msg01150.html
I have just retested with the most recent buildbot (Version 0.99.4-SVN-19670)
and Keith's reported problem still exists. Please note that I can successfully
use the Capture | Start menu item to initiate a trace with my preferred
interface.
Following Gerald's request I successfully listed 3 interfaces with the command
"tshark -D". I also succesfully captured and printed 10 frames from my
wireless NIC with the command "tshark -i 2 -c 10". So tshark works fine.
This doesn't look like bug 1096 to me. For the record I installed the
libgcrypt-11.dll that was attached to bug 1096 bug it didn't didn't change the
symptoms of this problem.
This problem appears to have crept in somewhere between SVN 19500 and SVN
19627.
If older buildbot installers were available I wouldn't mind trying to determine
at just what SVN version where the problem was introduced. Other than the most
recent 10 buildbot versions, are older buildbot versions available anywhere?
