Ethereal-users: [Ethereal-users] error message while rinning ethereal 0.99.0

I have installed ethereal 0.99.0. My operating system is Windows 98SE.
When I try to run ethereal it shows error message " Err file emem.c: line 252: assertion failed: (ret == TRUE)" and then it says abnormal termination and runtime error!

Every time I install and run it, same error message is displayed. Please tell me what to do.
