Title: Example Captures
I recently downloaded the SBMTorture capture and was wondering if you have any information an what is taking place, for example what the different SMB commands are doing for example what is actually happening when you see:
Session Setup And X Request
Session Setup And X Response
Tree Connect AndX Request
Tree Connect AndX Response
Trans2 Response, Query_FS_INFO, Info Allocation
Info Volume
Open AndX Request, path:
NT Create AndX Response, FID:
…and all of the others...
What I am trying find but having a really hard time is what each of these transactions are doing. I also want to know why transactions would be repeated numerous times during a capture when trying to access the same file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
