Hi,
I tried both, however, no luck. The Wireshark user manual suggest one
has to set the Link-Layer Header Type under capture options to DOCSIS
but the option field is always grayed out so I can't use it to select
anything. How do I go about getting access to the capture option
link-layer header type field ?

Thanks,
Cliff.

I think there might have been a bug in 0.10.14 that prevented the
"Decode all frames as DOCSIS" option from working. Try upgrading to
Ethereal 0.99.0 - or to Wireshark 0.99.1pre1 from www.wireshark.org.
