I have attached two
capture files. The first (routera6.cap) was creating using snoop on a Solaris
server. The second (Netflow-v9-sample2.cap) was created by loading the first
file into Ethereal v0.10.13 and then saving a filtered subset of the packets. (I
don't remember the exact filter I was using, but packet #1 in the smaller file
is the same as packet #6 in the larger file.)
Now when I load the
second, smaller file into Ethereal some of the delta times are negative. If
I expand the Frame information, some of the arrival times have a negative
fractional part (packets #1, 2), some have negative time since first frame
(packet #4), and some have negative delta from previous packet (packet
#6).
Is this a known
problem when saving filtered files?
Thanks,
Paul
