I believe the NetXtreme (Broadcom) supports jumbo frames because when I configure it at the TEG side it is faster and Ethereal does not trace anymore (if the NetXtreme didn't support it then I would expect Ethereal to continue to trace).

There is no configuration that I can find on the DELL D810 jumbo frames (the NetXtreme is on the DELL D810).

I suspect that the TEG side is negotiating for jumbo frames and the NetXTreme is accepting the negotiation. But this was in fact what I wanted to confirm by using Ethereal.

Does Ethereal support Jumbo Frames?

Ethereal supports what the hardware and packet capture mechanism it uses support.

I'm using Ethereal version 0.10.14 with a DELL D810 which has a Broadcom
NetXtreme 57xx Gigibit Controller. On the remote side I have a TRENDNet
TEG-PCITXR 32-bit 10/100/1000Mb PCMCIA card.

I have configured the TRENDNet for Jumbo Frames.

Does the NetXtreme and its driver support jumbo frames? If so, do you have to configure it to support them? If so, have you configured it to support them?
