You didn't mention which Linux distribution you've installed. I mean, did
you install Debian Linux, RedHat Linux, Fedora Core or any of the other
distributions? (Gnome 2 is just one of the X Window managers available in
any of these distributions). We would like to know because this tells us
which package manager is involved and to which package repository you can
refer.
