I have a laptop with an Intel Centrino 2200 b/g wireless card built in, I am running Slackware 10.2 with a 2.6.15.4 kernel. My problem however is when I try to capture in promiscuous mode the only packets I see are my own and a bunch of STP protocol packets, I have tried multiple versions of the IPW2200 driver and firmware, and get the same results each time. What really bugs me is that I can capture packets in promiscuous mode perfectly in Windows. I am using ethereal 0.10.14, has anybody had this problem, or even got promiscuous mode working with Linux and the ipw2200 drivers? I'd really like to figure this out, and I can't seem to find much help googling. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
