Hi

I am using Ethereal for the 1st time on a wireless network. I have got it working on the ethernet. However on the wireless network I am able to only capture packets that are being sent/recvd by me (not even broadcasts from  other nodes). I am using Ubuntu and my wireless card is Intel 2200 series. I have set the card on monitor mode and logged in as root. I first tried it by downloading the source and compiling it. And again by using the binary package itself. I have a Cable Internet connection which goes to a Netgear Wireless router(802.11a/b/g) to which I am connected.i know for sure it will not work on Windows because monitor mode is not supported there, but then i read in the forum that it works on linux though. I have tried with the promiscuous mode being off and on. Can you tell me why I am unable to capture packets sent from other nodes in my network?
