redhat released ethereal 0.10.14 for Fedora Core 4 (FC4). You can find the rpm at:

 

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/4/i386/
 

So the easiest way to get ethereal 0.10.14 working on Linux is to install FC4 and run :

 

"yum install ethereal*"

 

I guess Redhat will not release update packages for RH9 any more

I have been trying to setup ethereal on Redhat 9.

 

I want to run the latest version and got lost quickly trying to select a proper package to download.

Ethereal downloads are hard to select what is needed.  Can some one help me get the right files to use. I did not find .14 listed and suspect it is windows only number..

 

What files do I need to install and run under Redhat 9 ?

 

I tried to install one rpm and I could not get Redhat to give me the option to install the package.  I suspect it is a file location problem.  Any help in getting it to run would help.

Proper files , Location , Other linux traps.
