Title: Hosts on your subnet
you can try a port scanner or an IP scanner, such as Look@Lan - www.lookatlan.com  they've got a free download - or

http://www.angryziber.com/ipscan/ has a pretty good basic ip scanner,

and finally Blue's- http://www.bluebitter.de/english.htm

has a good, fast port scanner available for free.  One of those should be able to do what you are looking for.

Subject: [Ethereal-users] Hosts on your subnet

Hi all,

I am trying find out whether there'sa special command in windows/tool or an ability in ethreal to find out who are the connected hosts on the subnet that I'm connected to.

Of course I can ping every possible IP on my subnet and wait for replies, but it is inefficient.

Thanks,

Amir.
