Do you have any idea where to find the plug-in?
I installed version 0.10.06 at a pc which never has seen etheral.
Now gsse or goose has been identified.
So there must be some additional which does the dissection, which is ir really very usefull.

No, since ethereal has never supported these protocols we dont know where they came from.

If i understand it correctly,   GOOSE and GSSE are both based on ASN.1/BER and transported atop ACSE/PRES and friends just as
other OSI protocols like CMIP.

If so and if the asn.1 definitions are available it may be possible to add support for these protocols using our asn2eth   asn compiler.

 I would suggest to create a new WIKI page for these protocols and on that page also provide
* links to where specification
* links to the ASN1 specification
* as many example captures as possible for testing and verification.

and someone might look into adding support for that protocol
