Greetings.

I'm kinda new to network monitoring and I would like to know if I could get some help on a matter.
I'm developing a security layer to an insurance company web application and I would like to know the following:

- Can I use ethereal to monitor the incoming traffic to the web application? I mean, tell ethereal to monitor http://www.myWebApp.com and see all the incoming traffic...
- If it's possible, can someone tell me how to do it on ethereal?

My problem is that I'm trying to encrypt the user data on the client to make sure that the user data travels the internet encrypted without using SSL or any other SSL-like mechanism. I think the code I've developed is working but I would like to confirm that when the requests come into my web page they are coming already encrypted...
It's more or less to post a doorman in front of the web site, to check if the user data is coming as expected...
Any ideas?
