Hello, I am new to this group. I am using Ethereal to decode my interoperability problems for T.38 Fax over IP.

I have 2 questions:

 

1)       I am not able to use ethereal to capture packets on the network. I tried putting 2 devices in the public internet and still I am able to capture packets to and from the computer which is running Ethereal. Any suggestions on this?

2)       I have a capture file which is a successful t.38 fax transmission. When I decode as T.38, the UDPTL sequence numbers are shown as just 1 number, for eg: 32768.
