Hello,

I have exactly the same problem as discribed in the faq item 5.39. Regrettably the answer given in the faq is no help for me. I followed the advice and disabled the promiscuous mode. Unfortunately the error isn't solved yet.

So what do I have to do to solve my problem. Is there a source of information that is useful for me ?
So you're probably out of luck as your card or it's driver simply regrets to provide capture data.

You might try to capture on a normal Ethernet card so the WinPcap driver and Windows itself is running properly.

Try WinPcap 3.1 *released version* if you didn't do that already.

You may ask the WinPcap team about it. However, it's a known problem that some cards just don't work.

Could you please give detailed information about the wireless card you are using. At least other's will be warned that this card don't work well with Ethereal.
