just that. However, when trying to analyze a RTP stream that has a MPEG2
TS payload, the MPEG dissector does not work, although the RTP

ethereal release?
If some one commits code to do that and the code is acceptabe it will be
included.
>2. Did anyone succeed in using the existing dissector on top of a
transport protocol (and in particular RTP) ?
Don't know, but from above I suspect code has to be written in the RTP
dissector to call the MPEG2 TS dissector when the
Payload is known to contain MPEG2 TS.
>3. Is there a way to extract only the RTP payloads from a complete
capture and to save it as a raw binary data ?
Yes, from Statistics->RTP-Stream analyzis yoy can save the payload.
If this is the same patch that was sent to Ethereal (quite)some time ago
it wasn't included as there was issues with it and the author
Never came back with a new patch, see
http://www.ethereal.com/lists/ethereal-dev/200412/msg00058.html
And http://www.ethereal.com/lists/ethereal-dev/200412/msg00044.html a
google serch in the mail archive will show more.
