Is there a guide or something available that describes the service 
response time statistics in detail, or is this best used on a 
comparative basis, i.e., establish a baseline of statistics, make a 
tuning change, then examine the SRT area again.

Any more resources on this would be appreciated, specifically the 
SMB/Samba area.

I am unable to obtain the user guide PDF from the web site, BTW.... 404 
errors.
