Title: Not searching correctly?
Hi All,
I'm new to Ethereal so please forgive any duplications, etc. I've had a look through the FAQ,s and the Manual to no avail on my problem, which is:
I'm trying to resolve a network performance issue. To start with I'm sniffing at the network ingress and egress points to establish an overall performance baseline. The trouble is that during the transit through the network the source and destination addresses are NATted and Proxied. The result is that I can only match the ingressing and egressing packets via an identification number in the http data.
I'm using the filter "data contains nnnnnnnn" and "data matches nnnnnnnn" (where nnnnnnnn is the identification number) but it doesn't display all the entries in the capture. It does however consistently display the same ones.
Anyone any ideas please?
Andy.
