Hi,
    TCAP Dissector (ethereal-0.10.11-SVN-14962)does not provide any option
for switching between ITU-T & ANSI . In the source code
epan/dissectors/packet-tcap.c following lines are commented out

    /*static enum_val_t tcap_options[] = {
        { "itu", "ITU",  ITU_TCAP_STANDARD },
        { "ansi", "ANSI", ANSI_TCAP_STANDARD },
        { NULL, NULL, 0 }
    };*/

#if 0
    prefs_register_enum_preference(tcap_module, "standard", "ITU TCAP
standard",
        "The SS7 standard used in ITU TCAP packets",
        &tcap_standard, tcap_options, FALSE);
#else
    prefs_register_obsolete_preference(tcap_module, "standard");
#endif

Can any body comment on it?

The TCAP dissector was recently--since the last release anyway--rewritten and as part of that effort the need for a TCAP standard preference was removed (the TCAP dissector automatically figures out what standard you're using based on the message).
