The windows user profile contains all the personal configuration data
in, e.g. C.\Documents and Settings\<profilename> (which will also
contain the personal part of the registry settings). The roaming profile
is anything from this profile, except for the "Local Settings" folder.

The roaming profiles is a mechanism to copy all the personal
configuration settings to a central server (domain server?) when logout
from the machine, and loading the profile from the server when logging in.

So Ethereal uses this feature already, as all Ethereal has to do is to
store it's configuration data where it does today...
