Subject: [Ethereal-users] Bandwidth Monitoring?

I am a beginner when it comes to Ethereal and network analysis, so bear with me.  Basically, I am interesting in bandwidth monitoring for our network.  I have tried a couple programs, but my problem is that some of the IP addresses we would like to monitor don't have SNMP.  I posted on a networking list about possible solutions that wouldn't require SNMP, and Ethereal was suggested by a couple people.

I downloaded the program and have looked at a lot of the information that is available online, but I am still not quite sure how to do any kind of bandwidth monitoring.  Is this a possibility with Ethereal?  If so, what is the best way to go about doing IP based bandwith monitoring on a network?
