You could count the TCP retransmissions, but that's not packet loss.
For lost packets there's little to count, unless you have a capture
before the loss and after the loss, in that case ethereeal can be of
some help.
net A <-capture point-> intf_a <--> cloud <--> intf_b <-capture point-> net B
You could create a single capture file, containing only with the
traffic supposed to go through the cloud which looses packets. Tha can
be done filtering both captures and then mergeing them with mergecap.
Then you could check the Statistics/endpoints/Ethernet to see the
counters for the two mac addresses on the sides of the cloud.
