It did, and was responded to.

It probably belongs in winpcap-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, as it's probably
a WinPcap problem (Ethereal includes no code to do anything with network
adapters, it includes code to ask libpcap/WinPcap to do things with
network adapters).
I recently (yesterday) downloaded the drivers for the Intel 2200BG card
(part of their Centrino platform). The version number is 8.1.0.28.
Suddenly, Ethereal won't run.
What does it do instead of running? Does it crash? Does it not show
the 2200BG adapter in the list of interfaces? Does it show it but not
capture anything on it?
If it's one of the latter two problems, it's probably a WinPcap problem.
Try downloading WinDump from
http://windump.polito.it/
and try capturing on that adapter - use the "-D" flag to WinDump to get
a list of interfaces.
If that doesn't work (because that interface doesn't appear, or because
it does but you can't capture any traffic on it), report this as a bug
to the WinPcap developers; see
http://winpcap.polito.it/contact.htm
and note the information at the bottom about the debugging version of
the WinPcap packet.dll.
