Possibly - what identifies the packets as loopback packets? Do they have a particular Ethernet type (as Ethernet loopback packets do, with a type of 9000), or are they to or from a particular UDP port number (if they're UDP packets), or something such as that?

I.e., "loopback packets" doesn't necessarily uniquely identify a particular type of packet; whether it's possible to exclude them depends on the type of loopback packet.
