I used ethereal to watch my own wlan traffic .my machine running ethereal didn't sending receiving any traffic on the network interface(act as third party). and i can capture the traffic. but when i enable mac filtering , i couldn't see any traffic at all. 
how to see the traffic when mac filtering is enabled?
