This is a known bug, and the fix has been posted several times.
Go to Edit->Preferences. Ensure Save Window Position and Size are
checked then hit Apply, Save and OK. The error messages will stop.

To copy out of a DOS window, highlight the section of text with the
mouse, bring up the system menu (alt-space is one way to do it), select
Edit->Copy.
