Unfortunately that doesn't work for ISDN/LAPD traces in Toshiba format.

Wiretap handles it as WTAP_ENCAP_ISDN and there is currently no way to save selected
frames for WTAP_ENCAP_ISDN in libpcap format or in any other of the formats
supported by Ethereal, I think.

For Ethernet captures in Toshiba format it is probably possible to save to several
different formats.
