Good point. The size box on my install (default) was already "checked".

...and did he check "Save window *size*" rather than "Save window
*position*"? The problem is that if you don't have a saved window size,
Ethereal's default size is used, and Ethereal's default height is -1
(presumably intended to mean "don't override what you get from the
window system", but that doesn't work).
